May 8 Preview: “A Year with Prostate Cancer: Some thoughts for Procrastinating Men and their Concerned Spouses” Speaker: Rotarian Bill Peterson
Bill Peterson recently rejoined our club wanting to reconnect and “give back” after spending his previous year working to recover from his battle with prostate cancer. Bill shared some of his story when he came into the club, but wanted to share about his experience at Mayo Clinic and about how this disease affected him and his family.
Bill was a Bloomington Rotarian from 1977 to 1996. Since his days with us, the club has changed a great deal moving from all male to a wonderful mix of men and women. And, Rotary has almost eradicated polio. Bill received his JD degree from the University of Pittsburgh. His law firm, Peterson Law Office, LLC, specializes in Estate Planning and Probate Law. Bill has been passionate about these topics since his father’s death in 1949. He has written a book on probate. Bill also served in the Minnesota House of Representatives from 1979 to 1982. Bill and his wife have raised two now grown daughters.
